City Contribution is the amount the City will pay towards core benefits. City contribution towards the cost of Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance vary by employee group.
- Employee may opt-out of medical, dental or vision insurance coverage
- The opt-out incentive varies by employee group
- Proof of alternate coverage is required to opt-out of medical insurance.
- Proof of coverage is not required to opt-out of dental and vision
- The plan also provides incentives to encourage employees to choose lower cost benefits
- The selection incentives are applicable when the City contribution amount is larger than the combined cost of employee selection of medical, dental, and vision benefits.
- The Selection-out incentives varies by employee group.
